I know some of you have been praying!!!!!  God is good.  After not being able to figure out the problem with our vehicle, we went back one more time, and checked everything.  We found some rust on a couple contacts and cleaned them up.  We also found a set of wires not plugged in.  We plugged them in.  We jumped our vehicle, and let it sit for a little and prayed.  Guess what!!!  It's running and has been all day long!!!!!  Praise the LORD!!!!!   For now, until the Lord sees fit, our vehicle is good.    Thank you for your prayers.  Keep them coming!!!

Okay, it's Catchup time!!!  This is another long post!  :o)

Whew! We have had a busy few months.
We finished our first year of home school in May.  Everyone involved survived!  The kids had a blast learning, traveling and being together as a family.  I love how our kids love each other and yes, fight with each other.  There are moments when they are so kind to each other, then it's gone, but even in the fighting and arguing, which really is minimal, thier love for each other shows.  I love my little family and how God has knit us together!

June was a very busy month.  We made a trip out to Cactus, Texas, to attend the ground breaking ceremony of the cactus Nazarene ministry center.  We will be partnering with the West Texas distrit to try and help supply volunteers and teams for this unique ministry.  There are 17 different nations represented in Cactus.  God has brought the nations to the West Texas district, and through Vito and Jennifer Monteblanco and their kids, will draw those nations to himself!  So excited to see what He has in store.
We then made our way to Indianapolis, Indiana for our General Assembly where we would be working at manning a booth for Mission Mobilization, which NBI is a part of.  We helped put together displays for the South America Region, Eurasia Region, and the Prayer map area.  We assebled furniture, used screw guns, pulled pallet movers, hauled plants, and whatever else was necessary.  We then finally assembled our Photo Booth, and we were good to go.  God was good and we were able to meet many people from all over the world.  Many got to hear about Missions Mobilization, and some got to hear about NBI and what we do, for the very first time.  Thanks to all who took silly and crazy pictures and liked our NBI facebook page.  Hope you keep up with all the wonderful things that God is doing on the US/ Mexico Border.  Well, after about 3 weeks of being away from home, we made it back and rested.

July
As soon as we got back home from General Assembly, I got to do two sundays of pulpit supply for the Las Cruces First Naz.  A group of wonderful people searching for ways to honor and glorify God.
We then took a trip to South Texas, my home area, the Valley, or as some call it, the RGV, and got to see first hand what some of our other border missionaries are doing in Brownsville, Texas.  God is using Mark and Marilyn Redwine, and Clarie Robinson, in mighty ways!  Keep it up guys!
We then came back to El Paso and moved furniture from one of the homes that was sold.

Aug.
This should bring you up to date with our lives!  Hahaha
We spent two seperate weeks helping to local churches with their VBS programs.  First was El Paso First church.  We had fun and we pray that what those kids learned will stay in thier hearts and minds.  Secondly, we helped Nuevo Amanecer.  Their camp or VBS was different!  They targeted 12-25 yr olds and had a recycled arts and a sewing class.  It was the first year that they did something like this, and not many showed up, but new people came and began to share thier lives with the church!  Exciting to see people using what God has equipped them with, for the use of expanding His kingdom!

These are just the highlights of our months!  HAHAH

Now I hope we can share with you some of our prayer request:
1.  Pray for Roberto's uncle.  He has been in the hospital icu for some time now and it is not looking good.  Pray for peace and wisdom for his family as they decide what needs to be done.

2.  Pray for contined safety as we travel in the US and in Mexico.

3.  Pray for God to continually guide us and for us to follow.

4.  Pray for one of the Pastoral families that we work with.  Their oldest leaves for college this week and is literally heading to the other end of the USA.  Pray for him and his family as they deal with the feelings and emotions that come with college and leaving home.

5.  Pray for Roberto.  He starts the first of his last three classes to finish his Masters Degree.  I am going to be honest.  This has been a very scarry decision on two parts.  One, financially, we have decided not to go into debt anymore and will pay monthly for 8 months.  Pray that I, Roberto, can trust that if God has asked me to finish, he will provide.  Being self supported, this is not always the easiest, but He has never failed to provide when he has asked me to do something.  Secondly, the last time I took and completed a class, I came down with my second bout with Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis).  My greates fear has been that with the stress of the classes, it might happen again!  I have already been told that if it were to occur again, the affects would likely be permanent.  Understand now?  But God is greater, and I trust Him more than myself!!!  I just need your prayers to help continually trusting Him and not fall into the trap of fear, come what may.

6. Pray for our vehicle needs.  As I had said earlier, we are self supported.  God has provided Rhesa with a great job that still allows her the necessary time to travel and do minstry together, but in order to do this, we are a 2 car family.  This week, our second car, the one that my parents (rdz) gave to us upon returning to the states from Central Asia, the one that we had to fix some major parts on while in Tn, the one that every time we turned on, I prayed cause I knew who had fixed it, me, the one that lasted for about 3 years with no repairs needed after I fixed it, has been dying.  Rhesa was driving home from work, and the car dies.  Graciously he kept her safe.  We replace the alternator and battery, thinking that was the problem, but alas, we have not been able to fix it.  Pray that God will give us wisdom and supernatural understanding of the problem so we can fix it.  If we can't pray that God would provide for us to find a way and get another vehicle.

Time flies!!!!

Wow,
So much time has gone by since our last post, and so much has happened.  I will try to give a snippet of each month until we catch up..

December:
All of our preparations for SNU's Commission Unto Mexico came to a close as we gathered for the event in Monclova Mexico from December 27-Jan 3.  Praise the Lord all went well.  We did not have anyone get very sick or hurt, and a great time was had by all who either attended or helped.  God is good!!!!!

January:
This month was a little slower.  We worked and tried to relax from all of our hard work for Commission unto Mexico.

February:
Spoke at New Braunfels church, and had a great time catching up with some who had come to El Paso for a Work and witness trip.

March:
Spoke at San Angelo first, and got to share the word with some really great people.  Our kids fell in love with the people.  Also got to spend some time with a missionary friend that Robert had met his freshman year in college, Steve Heap.  It was great to spend some time with him and hear what God is doing in Brazil.

April:
This month has already been crazy busy with two trips, one to dallas, one to Mexico, and one to come to Houston.
This month was also the month that my sister Lili returned to the hospital because of a relapse of leukemia, thus our very important trip to dallas.

I have to share some God stories with yall (yes I just typed yall).
Lili's doctor had checked the national registry to find a donor, but none were available.  My siblings and I got tested and two of us were complete matches.  God provided!!!!
Well today, in talking with my mother, the God story further unfolded.  The nurse informed my mom that finding a sibling match in a family is usually very difficult, and to find even one was very slim.  We not only found one, but two, and Lili's identical twin makes three!  Did you catch that?  The nurse explained to my mom how highly unusual this was!  My God specializes!!  May the Glory be given all to HIM!!!!!!

We will try to do a better Job at keeping yall informed!

Oh, I forgot, in the midst of life and managing the office, working, and just living, we have been overseeing the continued construction of a house.  This meant daily trips to the other side of town (30 mins) to check on the progress, and then painting so that carpet could be laid, but we don't do much ;0)
